Miami-Dade County Courthouse
History: Located in Miami, Florida, the Miami-Dade County Courthouse was completed in 1928. When originally designed by A. Teneyck Brown, the Courthouse was the tallest building in Florida.
Scope: Terra cotta removal for investigation and repair of structural steel anchorage systems.
Challenge: Large terra cotta unit removal at underside of cornice via swing stage made for precarious work.
Result: Terra cotta units removed, steel remediated, and ultimately provided for restoration deign details by engineering company.
