Tripoli Shrine Temple

History: Finished in 1928, the Tripoli Shrine temple was designed by Clas, Shepard and Clas in a revivalist style of the Taj Mahal.

Scope: Restoration of the three mosque-style domes and the concrete substructure that makes up the concentric domes.

Challenge: Access for working on the onion-shaped domes over a structural deficient lower roof. Matching of historic exterior mosaic tiles that comprise the domes’ veneer fabric.

Result: Total restoration of domes and copper roofing.
